Constant and Never-Ending Improvement; more than just facility upgrades this mantra is applied to everything we do- staff training, customer service, facility upgrades, and more importantly Safety protocols.

Whether it’s maintenance issues, minor faults, or unattended concerns of any size, these can evolve into larger issues if not dealt with, rectified, or addressed in a timely manner.

We take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained property and park environment for all our guests. Part of our commitment includes a daily inspections and maintenance routine, walking through the park, identifying maintenance needs, looking for potential issues, and keeping an eye out for opportunities for improvement, always striving to make the park just that little bit better.

Over the past few months, our maintenance team has been working in overdrive to complete a long list of jobs, both big and small, before the cold and wet winter months set in. While they don’t let a bit of rain stop them, even they have to pause when hit with the harsh, icy winds rolling in from the Bass Strait.

One of our most recent initiatives was engaging a qualified arborist to assess every single tree within Amberlee’s boundaries. The resulting report has been invaluable, helping shape our Tree Management Plan for the next five years. All trees identified as needing attention have already been addressed within the recommended timeframe, many even ahead of schedule. Ongoing and future maintenance has also been planned accordingly.

In the spirit of sustainability, we’ve taken care to reuse as much tree material as possible. Branches have been mulched and spread throughout the park, while larger limbs have been repurposed to create natural garden bed edges, enhancing both aesthetics and environmental friendliness.

At Amberlee, we make safety a top priority, and we believe it’s often the little things that get missed, skipped, or ignored that can lead to bigger problems. One example of how we look to prevent these bigger problems is the replacement of old, such as shifting brick-block retaining walls with new timber ones. A standout feature is the retaining wall next to the playground—it now doubles as both a barrier to the mini golf course and a fun balance beam in our playground’s balance course!
